Wizard srls is an Innovative Startup founded in Ancona in 2018. We are engineers, designers and technicians united by one goal: transforming urban waste management through Italian technology and quality design.
It all started with a simple question: how much wasted air is there inside a rubbish bag? Wizard was born from that curiosity.

From an idea to a product

The idea comes from observation
Daniele De Paduanis, together with his friends Gabriele Achille and Antonio Mingo, began studying the problem of wasted space in urban bins. The starting question was: how much air is there inside a rubbish bag?
Founding of Wizard srls & first funding
The startup is born. Awarded a non-repayable grant after a year of training from ECAPITAL and FONDAZIONE MARCHE, the first prototype of the compaction system is built.
Wizard 1.0 — launch and institutional talks
Presentation of the first compactor to Italian municipalities and multi-utilities. Participation in SMAU. Working talks opened with AnconAmbiente and other public bodies in the Marche region.
First public installation — Ancona
AnconAmbiente installs the first Wizard Eco-Compactor in Piazza Pertini, Ancona. Results: −50% vehicle trips, +75% collection capacity. Enclosure with a panoramic photo of Ancona's old town seen from the sea.
Wizard 2.0 — new generation with AI and IoT
Launch and second installation in Piazza Pertini (March 2026). Advanced sensors, predictive AI, enlarged openings and reinforced enclosure materials. Ancona becomes an urban lab for smart waste management.
